From what I learnt in class I wanted to create a sense of realism and of high detail. Using real darkness and shading I was able to create volume of the vase and the reflection of the smooth table. I tried to emphasise the importance of detail in the petals of the flowers trying to capture all essence of the purity and nature of the subject matter.
